Master of Science in Renewable Energy & Energy Access (MSc. REA)

This programme is designed to respond to the needs of employers in the energy access sector as well as to address the national, regional and global development agendas. The programme’s features include:

• Multidisciplinarity, which equips graduates with a variety of skills that are in high demand by employers, such as engineering, research, policy formulation, and business and entrepreneurship.
• Programme design, which places the student at the centre of teaching and learning, and emphasises transformative pedagogical methods through well-designed courses, work placement, research and community engagement activities.
• Soft skills integration; including communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork, in the teaching and learning processes, resulting in a rich learning experience.
• Gender considered, uniquely integrated in the teaching and learning cycle, leading to graduates who are best placed to address national, regional and global development agenda, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 7.
