Integrated and Multi-level Energy models for the Alpine Space
The project IMEAS “Integrated and Multi-level Energy models for the Alpine Space “, funded in the framework of the EU Interreg Alpine-Space programme, officially kicked-off in Munich in November 2016.
LISD is one of 12 IMEAS Partners from 7 Countries, working together with the aim of developing low-carbon policies integrated in the Alpine Space area. With Italian organization ENEA as Lead Partner, IMEAS involves 12 Partners from 7 Countries, working together with the aim of developing low-carbon policies integrated in the Alpine Space area.
IMEAS aims at creating a new integrated approach and common tools to enhance the ability of Public Administrations, agencies and other institutions to plan integrated and sustainable energy policies and to select the right measures and instruments to implement them. IMEAS partners will in particular work on the alignment of incentives that drive decision making process, on the multi-dimensional integration and on the enhancement of the capacity needed for effective energy planning and implementation processes.
The final goal is the co-design of an efficient low carbon energy model for the Alpine Region.
In particular, addressing common challenges on smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in the Alpine Space area IMEAS aims to:
- enhance knowledge on territorial energy systems;
- boost policy making, planning and decision-making;
- improve capacity to select and use the right tools to develop/implement integrated energy plans/measures;
- support Multi Level Governance;
- develop a low carbon/low emission economy making use of local resources.
